U14s Penallta 6 v 10 Pill Harriers Dragons Cup Semi Final
A bitterly cold morning in Maesycwmmer saw the last of the Penallta Junior teams out of this year's Dragons Cup competition.
The junior Pitmen went into half time with a 6 nil lead but an outstanding display of rugby from both sides saw Pill come back to score two tries.  The U14s would like to thank everyone who turned up to watch on such an icy day & wish Pill Harriers all teh best in the final against Nelson.

Penallta narrowly miss out on the Dragons Cup final

U13s Bedwas 20 v 32 Penallta
The under 13s were away to Bedwas today, who were an extremely strong team.  Our boys played a great game of rugby and ran in 6 tries in a fine dislay.

U14s now face a home semi final against Pontypool Utd or Pill Harriers
Sunday 23rd November
Penallta U12s 0 v 26 Pontypool Utd
The U12s played their Dragons Cup Quarter final on Trinity Fields against a well drilled Pontypool Utd team.  Three first half tries gave the visitors a 19 nil halftime lead.  Despite sustained pressure for the majority of the second half, Penallta were unable to cross to put points on the board.  A late try gave Pontypool Utd a convincing win - all credit to the Junior Pitmen who battled til the end.

A first half try from Mitchell & a late penalty by Matthew Brewer secure a hard fought win for the U13s in their Dragons Cup Quarter Final.  They now face an away semi final against Caerleon or Talywain.

Dragons Cup - U14s 54 v 0 Newbridge 12.00 KO Trinity Fields
Some excellent rugby played yet again by Penallta's under 14s in their first home game this season as they ran in 10 tries in their Dragons Cup fixture.  Everyone was up for it - players and parents alike!   Penallta now progess to a home quarter final draw where they will meet  Monmouth.
We would like to thank Penallta's senior supporters for giving their support on a very wet morning & hope you were impressed with the excellent display of rugby.
